Welcome
Stadi Talkers
Making effective communication a reality
When you join Stadi Talkers you will receive the first manual which is designed to develop your speaking skills one step at the time. Every project builds upon what you've learned in the preceding projects. Speeches are presented according to their order in the manual. The manual has been thoroughly honed throughout the years since the inception of Toastmasters International in 1924.

Your first speech - the Ice Breaker
You begin with "The Ice Breaker" speech. Since it is your first speech before the club, it is based on a easy subject - yourself. In subsequent speeches you learn the importance of organization, speech purpose, proper word usage and vocal variety. You also learn how to use visual aids, speak persuasively, and inspire others.

Stadi Talkers environment
This learning takes place in the Stadi Talkers club environment. Club meetings are workshops where you study and practice communication and leadership skills with others who are there for the same reasons as you. You develop your speaking skills by participating and by watching fellow club members.
During the "Table Topics" session of each meeting, you have the opportunity to develop your quick-thinking skills by giving one to two-minute speeches on a general subject.
Soon, you introduce speakers, conduct meetings, evaluate speeches and take on other roles to give you practice in a variety of communication experiences.
But your greatest learning comes from preparing and presenting speeches based on the projects in the manual.
You have an open and cordial invitation to attend our meetings as a guest to find out firsthand what Toastmasters can do for you!

A typical Toastmasters meeting

Welcome to Toastmasters Finland!

Toastmasters landed to Finland in November 2004, when the first demo meeting was held in Helsinki.
From that demo meeting began Helsinki Toastmasters' way towards chartering which was reached in June 2005. Regular club meetings occur bi-weekly on Thursday of odd-numbered weeks.
The second club in Finland; Tampere Toastmasters, was chartered exactly three years later in June 2008. Finland area will go-on the expansion and the next club will is on its way: a prospective club Stadi Talkers heads for chartering with 20 new members.

And, this will be just a preface for Toastmasters in Finland!

Welcome to District 99 - Undistricted Clubs
Welcome to the Automated Software for Toastmasters Clubs, Area, Division and District!

This software called Easy Speak, we got as a present from our friends in District 71.

It will allow Toastmaster clubs to automate their meeting planning and to track and support members' development.

The inbuildt mail function will give a very easy way to get in touch with eachother. Either one on one or in groups like Area Governors, all Presidents, all Public Relations, all Members in a club or the Guests.

This software may sit behind the club's existing web-site to deliver data management for the club and, if the club has no other web presence, it may also be used as a simple portal to present the club news and promotional message.

Give your club officers the information to support club members, automate the boring administration and free their time to talk with the membership.

Question Do you currently have instant visibilty of every member's progress?
Question Can you plan a meeting and produce the agenda in just a minute?

Easy-Speak gives you this - and more.

How to get started..

Step 1:
Look around the system, get some understanding of how it works and the benefits it would bring to your club.
http://district59.eu/kb.php?mode=cat&cat=6

Step 2:

Your club is already created and all we need is the current officers for 2007-2008.. you can also supply your members if you have the material. If you fill in and return the excel spreadsheet with the officers data I will upload this for you and you can yourself upload you own members later, or if you have them already just include them on the excel sheet.

Step 3:

To be able to start working with your club and add members, speeches and start the meeting schedule your club has to be active.

This is how you know:

Not Active - Summary

Active

Contact either Jeanette Aronsson and I will activate the club. When we activate one club it is good to know what kind of meetings you have, cause we point to another club already active. It means that the newly activated club uses the same agendas as the one we copied from. It saves lots of time, even if agendas can be changed afterwards.

So what we basically need to know is what structure the club want on the agenda.. table topics at the start or after speeches, before or after the break etc...

Step 4:
You are now President, VP-E, Secretary and everything else on the system for your club!
Log in and review the settings in the club control panel. Check the description for your normal meeting location for example and that the link to the multi-map is correct so that visitors can find you.

Upload your membership file, if this has not already been done for you, and select the correct member for each officer position.

Step 5:
Go to the meeting that has been created for you and change the date to be the next meeting for your club.
Give the meeting an agenda. (Edit this if you need to and save it to replace the template)
Create meetings for the next few months so that your members can book ahead.

Step 6:
Explain to your members how the system works for them. Maybe point them to the Knowledgebase area:

You're live! Very Happy
